  • A very special honor for the family of reporter Veronica Waters. It was eight years ago that her dad, Dr. Rudolph E. Waters, Sr., passed away. He retired from Alcorn State as its longtime Executive Vice President (he was named EVP in 1970, but he was hired there in 1957!). Veronica's mom was hired there a few years later; they met and married and worked there until retirement (mom retired as a Prof. of Business Education). Rudolph Waters retired after 48 years of tireless service for ASU. In his name, the school created The Rudolph Waters Technology Center, a modern space for the School of Business. Waters received his bachelor’s degree from DePaul; his master’s at Boston University; and his doctorate at Kansas State.
