Marietta Daily Journal - The MDJ has purchased six local papers from Southern Community Newspapers Inc. (SCNI).

The publications acquired by Times-Journal are the Gwinnett Daily Post, Rockdale Citizen, Newton Citizen, Henry Herald, Clayton News and the Jackson Progress-Argus. Details here.

  • Kathy Bourn retires after 40 years as a photojournalist.

  • Bobeth Yates joins as a general assignment reporter. You might remember her time at CBS46 from 2018 - 21.

  • Former Atlanta & Company producer Eboni Lemon is now Assistant Program Director at PBS in DC.

  • Madison Carter departs. She's now an Investigative Anchor at WSOC-TV in Charlotte, NC.

  • Faith Jessie joins as weeknight anchor. She'll anchor at 5 p.m. with Jennifer Bellamy. She'll also report for 11Alive’s weeknight newscasts. Jessie joins from Newsday in NYC and worked for KSNV-TV (NBC) in Las Vegas as a reporter and fill-in anchor for more than four years. She began her career as a weekend anchor at WICZ-TV (FOX) in Binghamton, NY after graduating from University of Southern California.
