Writer Mickey Goodman has a new book out, MY PURSUIT OF BEAUTY: A COSMETIC CHEMIST REVEALS THE GLITZ, TH GLAM, AND THE BATSH*T CRAZY. It was released in January 2021 as a paperback and print version and was on May 15 as an audio book, and a documentary is debuting at the Sundance Festival. It's about Vince Spinnato, who has created more than 300 beauty and fragrance products for celebrities from Jennifer Lopez to Gwen Stefani to Michael Jordan and many more. Long-time sports reporter and anchor Ken Rodriquez is retiring.
CBS46 was one of 17 television stations acquired this month by Gray Television. The deal also includes Peachtree TV. Gray bought the stations from Meredith Corp, which has owned CBS46 for many years. More details here. Gray now owns 101 television outlets serving 113 markets, reaching 36 percent of U.S. TV households.
Mary Eliza Smith joins as a general assignment reporter. She comes most recently from Columbus, OH, where she worked for Sinclair Broadcasting. Oh, and she goes by "Mary."
WSB Radio - Congrats to producer Jared Yamamoto, producer of The Von Haessler Doctrine, on his recent engagement! The VHD show has also begun a Facebook Live version.
Anchor Jovita Moore is recovering from a little bit of brain surgery this month. Doctors say the surgery went well and she is recovering at home.

Linda Stouffer shifts off the morning anchor desk to a reporting role for shows later in the day.

Hope Beckham has merged with GPR Global. From their release: "Longtime Atlanta journalist and public relations professional Gina Espinosa-Meltzer has reached an agreement in principle to acquire the equity of the late Paul Beckham in Hope-Beckham Inc. and merge her GPR Global into Hope-Beckham.
