If you've been the Georgia Aquarium this week, you might have seen ScubaClaus! You can't hear him through that thick glass, but it's actually our long-timer traffic reproter, Art "Madman" Mehring.
John Weatherbee has died. Weatherbee was a radio and television meteorologist whose career included stops at WGCL TV (now WANF), WDUN Radio, WTOC TV (Savannah), and many more. He was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame in 2014 and recently the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. More here.
AIB TV - Audrey Galex shares info on an interfaith "winter lights" arts event. A coalition of interfaith and community organizations has come together to offer “Interfaith Winter Lights” to uplift a message of peace at a time of ongoing crisis, not only in the Middle East, but throughout the world. The event is a collaboration of Interfaith Atlanta, Emory University Office of Spiritual and Religious Life, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Interfaith Community Initiatives, Compassionate Atlanta, Interfaith Children’s Movement, and Zeitgeist. “Winter Lights” took place Saturday, December 9th, 2023, 4P - 6P at Cannon Chapel at Emory University. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but suggested through the Facebook link, https://forms.gle/md7NBADvgt7c9dfKA
Atlanta Journal-Constitution - Samantha Hogan joins as an investigative reporter. She was most recently with The Maine Monitor, where she covered courts, law enforcement, and civil rights issues.

Georgia Public Radio - Steven Fowler announces his departure at the end of the year. He'll move to NPR, still covering politics and based in Atlanta.
