ASBPE - The American Society of Business Publication Editors annual conference and awards banquet will be in Atlanta in May. Details.


Lorenzo "Lo" Jenks died this months. Jenks became the first Black television news reporter in Atlanta in 1967. The Atlanta Press Club inducted Jenks into its Hall of Fame in 2022.

  • Karli Barnett joins as a new anchor/reporter. She was most previously with CBS4 in Miami. WMAZ in Macon is also on her resume and she's a UGA grad.

WSB TV - Justin Wilfon departs TV news for a soon-to-be-announced new adventure. Update: He's announced that he's co-owner of a new restaurant in Marietta called Marietta Melt Yard. He describes it as a "food truck inspired bar and restaurant."

  • Long-time anchor Dave Michaels died this month. He anchored from 1976-85 and later joined CNN.

  • Tresia Bowles survived her first day as an 11Alive reporter!

  • News Director Jennifer Rigby departs. She's joining Gray Television's in-house news research and consulting team.
