  • The Chronicle's parent, American Cities Business Journals, has launched "Business Journal Books."

  • Congrats to Willoughby Mariano, who's received a Neiman Fellowship to Harvard!

  • Shannon Dominy takes over the Business Newsmakers job. She replaces Bill Hendrick. As usual with this feature, make sure you send a color, high-resolution photo if you want it to be used.

  • Education reporter Marlon Walker departs for the Clarion Ledger in Jackson, Mississippi. He'll be the #2 person in the newsroom and his official title will be Senior Investigations and Politics Editor.

Southeast Green - Founder Beth Bond passed away this month. I don't have any details, but Beth was a great journalist who championed green causes for many years.


  • Former CBS46 reporter Kai Beech is now writing for Scripps Newspapers out of Denver.

  • Former radio show host, presidential candidate, and CEO of Godfathers Pizza Herman Cain died this month due to COVID-19.


  • Tracy Christensen departs as Director of Local and Digital Programming.


  • Wes Peery departs for a meteorologist position with KSHB-41 Action News in Kansas City, MO.

  • Former reporter Wes Blackenship has a new company, Tackler. It's a sports media company. Looks like they're offering sports news through a subscription newsletter, a podcast network, and live content.

  • Reporter Faith Abubey departs.
