Former reporter Dana Tofig has a new job. He's now Director of External Relations at the American Institutes for Research. He was most recently at the Institute for Education Sciences.
Maya Prabhu joins as reporter covering state government. She worked previously at the Post & Courier in Columbia, SC and is a Spelman grad.

Atlanta magazine - Mara Shaloup returns to Atlanta and takes on the Deputy Editor position.
Bert Show - Brian Moote is leaving the station. He's moving to LA to be closer to family.
CNN - Lauren Johnson departs WSB Radio for a position as Cross Platform Associate Producer.
Creative Loafing - The paper announced significant staff changes this month. CL reduced three of its editorial staff positions to freelance/contributing editor positions and reduced four positions in sales and marketing. Georgia Public Radio - "On Second Thought" anchor Celeste Headlee announced her resignation on Jan. 4 after four years at GPB. Celeste created a great show at 9 a.m., offering a deep long-form radio program that appealed to listeners across the state. The show will continue with a new host (the search is on). Headlee said in a Facebook post that she would be returning on occasion as a special correspondent.

Roamilicious - Editor Malika Bowling is now doing a weekly segment on The Dana Barrett Show (1190AM, Weekdays, 8-10 a.m.). She'll be talking about events, restaurants, arts and culture in Atlanta and the southeast. Each segment will focus on a "restaurant of the week" and 5 - 7 food/theater/culture/travel events. WAGA/Fox5 - Former morning anchor Constance Jones is now a reporter with TLC, working on a show called "Young Americans."

Anchor Amanda Davis died this month. Reports say she suffered a stroke. Davis was one of the founding anchors of Fox5's Good Day Atlanta show and reported and anchored at WSB, WAGA and then WGCL for decades. http://www.cbs46.com/story/37148800/cbs46-anchor-amanda-davis-passes-away
Jonathan Carlson joins as Chief Investigative Reporter. He joins from WXYZ TV in Detroit.
Shawn Reynolds returns as Executive Producer. He worked there previously, but has been the News Director at WTVM most recently.

Jon Lewis has died. He was a reporter at the station for more than 20 years. His wife says donations would be appreciated to the Aflac Cancer Center. Their information can be found at choa.org/fightcancer. She says "Jon took great pride in his station's annual Careathon that raised money for this cause. Over the years he met & interviewed many children and families and they made a big impact on him."

Chris Jose is now the station's Cobb County Bureau Chief.
